Rohdea japonica ‘Shishi’ is looking lovely in the woodland garden. Rohdea ‘Shishi’ is a dwarf Japanese selection of the evergreen sacred lily with leaves that curl downward creating an unusual bird nest like appearance. Winter hardiness is Zone 6b-8b.

  1. 3/5/22. I bought a rohdea (sacred lily) from PD some years ago, hoping to brighten up my garden in the sometimes drab early New Years here in Raleigh. It matured beautifully, rewarding me faithfully every year with its perhaps 1 in. red-orange “balls” (whatever they’re called) at the base and its evergreen foliage, too.
